Playboy to give up nudes

I was interested to read that Playboy magazine, which faces dwindling sales, has now decided to give up nudes.  They will still have women in provocative poses they say, but they will no longer be fully nude.  The reason for that is that everything is available on the Internet and as their Chief Executive says, “You are now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free.  And so, it is just passé at this juncture.”  I don’t personally think it will save them – magazines are all generally losing sales – but it’s interesting to see that one of the original nude magazines has given up on nudity!

I think Playboy is so old school. I really didn't think it was still around. I guess it will never die.
Side note: I can't believe Hugh Hefner is still alive. Damn, that is one dirty old man lol.

haha that's funny. No more nudie magazines. It was quite a big thing back in the day to pose for playboy and always controversial. Nowadays actors just take selfies of themselves and post them on the internet or the pictures get leaked on the internet. I think playboy has definitely lots its following because like you say, the internet has everything. But the question is how's Hugh?

Didn't even realize the magazine still existed.

I agree with Sandra there. The thought of what may be under a piece of clothing is far more sexier than just having it all out there.

What will the magazine now be called "Boy"? I remember the days when every son, brother, male friend used to hide there magazines until after dark. And mums and dads looking at each other across the table, mums with wide eyes and dads with smirks when their son's "stash" had been found. Oh the good old days :-) :-)

No nudity is the new thing, apparently... I'm not one that agrees with this type of thing but it has always been Playboy's legacy if you can call it that. I suppose they need to move with the times and the internet I'm sure does cater for all of your nudity needs lol.

Even thought playboy has decided to take away the nudity i think it will still have many sales as it has been around for a long time and i am sure there are some loyal followers out there.

Everything is sexier if you leave it up to your imagination

Wow that is interesting, I though that Playboy, highly known these Magazines would never go covered but then again the Internet is taking over.
