Game of Thrones back in 2019 only

Game of Thrones fans are going to be devastated to discover that the final six episodes may well only be coming out in 2019!  We all appreciate that a lot of work goes into filming Game of Thrones, but that is a little bit longer than most of us were hoping to wait!  The final episode of the 7th season set an all time record for the series with the most people ever watching it.  It was already, long before this year, the most popular TV show in the world.

Don’t forget, when we are talking about viewers, we talk about legal live viewers – some episodes are apparently downloaded as much as 4,2 million times through Bitorrent websites.  It is shown in more than 170 countries, it has more than 160 actors in the cast and that is excluding all of the extras who run to their thousands, including extras who have applied from South Africa and 1,000 staff members and on some days it is simultaneously filmed in three different countries.  The main filming takes place in Belfast, Ireland, but there is quite a lot of filming done in the old town of Dubrovnik, a beautiful city that I visited many years ago in Croatia as well as in Spain and other countries.

Reading this blog has been traumatising. I had made a conscious effort to forget about Game of Thrones as the waiting period for the next season is disgustingly long.

I really need to start catching up but for me because I haven't had time to watch it for a while, I feel I need to re-watch from the start just so that I don't miss anything.

Everyone is talking about GOT and I am considering to start watching it but maybe I’ll wait until 2019 when season 7 is complete

This series is super popular, I haven't really taken an interest. I feel as though something may be wrong with me, because the rest of the world seems to be loving it! It must be something to have 7 seasons out and a fan base that is growing by the season. I definitely feel like I’m missing out!

My FOMO is definitely also kicking in at this stage and I am quite disappointed with myself for not continuing to watch after the first season. Considering the hype surrounding the series, I'm sure a lot of time, money and effort goes into each episode.

I'm about the 1% of the entire population that has not watch one single episode. The ladies in the office can't stop talking about it. I think I need to start watching as my FOMO is kicking in.

This series is my life! The wait is going to kill me. The suspense of the last episode is just too much! If you have not watched this series you need to do so. The story line and plot twists will keep you at the edge of your seat!

I really enjoy the series!! I cannot believe that they are going to make us wait over a year for the last season. But it will definitely be worth the wait.

I really want to start watching this series it looks so interesting. It's amazing that people put so much time and effort in something that's why it's so good. I will definitely make a plan to watch this.

I can't remember when last I was so addicted to watching a series, I have not missed one episode. I am a huge fan of GOT, it is such a well written story line, with the most unexpected twists and teasers. Waiting 2 years for the final season, is definitely not what I expected. But I am absolutely sure that the wait will be worth it, it is definitely going to be mind blowing to see how they end the series!

I am sure a lot of work and preparation goes into filming Game of Thrones- and this is just my conclusion from watching the GOT teasers- I haven't watched an episode- cringe!

I don't watch Game of Thrones all that much, but I can imagine that the people who do will be very disappointed to wait that long, although the few times I have watched it's clear that a lot of work and effort goes into the filming of the show.

I haven't even watched one episode of Game of Thrones it doesn't really take to me I'm more a Grey's Anatomy, Night shift, Code Black ,Chicago Med type of girl. But I do think a lot of people will be devastated when the next 6 seasons will only come out in 2019

It is really a huge stretch from 2017 until 2019 to wait for the last few episodes of the show. But it’s understandable as there is really so much work to do with so many cast members and special effects. If you are a true GOT fan this will definitely be a long wait. I`ve watched the show before but only until the beginning of season 5. Normally I like to watch series if the show has ended completely, because I do not like to wait so long for something. As I will forget what happened previously or started with another series in the meantime and get complete mixed up with the stories.

This is not a series I really took to, I just could not get myself to finish an episode! After all the hype and buzz I definitely feel like I am missing out!!

I would be one miserable person if we had to wait till 2019! Watching the finale of season 7 was a bitter sweet situation for me. Either way whenever it is released I shall be there waiting faithfully.

I suppose GOT is to fans what Harry Potter is to me... Die hard!!! I still haven't watched a single episode of GOT. Although, that might be a good thing - I now have 2 years to catch up =''D My sister actually does that. She waits for the latest season and then watches the previous one.
I wonder if the hype will die down in 2 years though? I would forget about a series if the next season is only released 2 years later. I'm sure it's pretty annoying. Be strong :)

I am not thrilled that we will have to wait until 2019 to continue watching Game of Thrones but what can we do but wait? I am sure there will be even more fans as people have time to catch up. I would suggest to anyone that doesn't enjoy it to just try and get yourself through the first few episodes because they are slightly hard to get through but that it will be worth it!

I am a huge GOT fan and cannot wait for the last 6 episodes. The series is so well written and I can just imagine the amount of effort that goes into a series like this, it is definitely one of the best series ever.

I am not a fan of Games of Thrones at all. I have tried and it's just not for me, but to wait till 2019 for another season is a bit long. Shame, I do feel sorry for everyone who has to wait in anticipation till then. Hopefully it will be best one yet and it will not disappoint. I think a lot of people are going to have high expectation for that season.

I was very disappointed to hear that we had to wait until 2019...we wait so long as it is and then it is over so quickly...and the way this last season ended! I understand it takes a lot of work and if you look at the episodes, it is quite something, so not surprised it will take that long - be patient and wait

The popularity of this show is astounding - perhaps the wait is calculated to ensure that the franchise remains profitable for as long as possible?

I don't watch Game of Thrones however that is an extremely long wait and I'm sure all of the fans are going to suffer through that year a bit!! Mandy is an avid watcher and every week I hear about the latest episode and how great the show is, she has also expressed her disappointment to having to wait so long for the final season! I did however read somewhere that the episodes will be longer in the final season due to the content that they still need to get through.
