The American Idols come to the grand finale this week and it’s a huge TV hit which will be watched by millions around the world. My excuse is my children love talent competitions and so that’s why I have been watching! The performances are top notch and I thought Angela Miller, particularly on her piano performances, would be the hot favourite to win.
The betting sites however saying it will be closer than I thought. Angela is the favourite at 14/10 but Candice Glover is a close 2nd favourite at 18/10 with Kree Harrison the outsider at 2/1. Those odds suggest a close final which may well get down to the best performance on the night. I’m betting that the winner will be Angela – and of course the producers of this hit show which must rake in millions every year!

I am like some here not a fan of Idiols, but i must say i totally enjoy The Voice. Is was great sometimes unfair but so much better than idols.
I do enjoy watching Idols if I have the chance but tend to miss a lot of episodes and then loose interest.

I like watching the auditions only, i'm not really an idols fan... But those auditions get me rolling every time! The nuts that come for auditions can really lighten up your day!
And the best part of it when someone cannot keep a tune and sounds like broken car horn, their answer is always... "My mom said i can sing".
Further to auditions, i have no interest in Idols!

I generally enjoy the 1st season of any show and then find the subsequent seasons very boring. The excitement is in the fact that it is a new show, not a new season

Reality TV is the worst most ridiculous form of entertainment ever thought of and I wish all these shows would simply come to the dead swift end.

I am not a big fan of Idols and rarely watch same. I do, however, enjoy listening to the music that the winners do eventually churn out in the music studios and will await same, as always.

Really would like to follow up every Sunday, but with little one do not have the chance. If I will be able to court the programme - love to watch - I will say American set up of Idol is very professional on the high standards and voices this season very good, for me hard to say who will win.

I don't follow any talent shows I normally start watching at the end of the season then all the good performers are in then it gets interesting to watch.

I don't follow from beginning to end but when I remember to watch, I do. I always dream of moving to America or the UK, get permanent residency and enter their talent shows. Lol... I wouldn't enter in SA. As for the Wooden Mic award... Why are those awarded? There is no talent behind being bad...

I hardly ever have a chance to sit in front of the tellie but when possible I enjoy watching American Idols. There is a lot of talent in the world and its great to see them being discovered. On the flip side of the coin I just can't think why some people attend the auditions when you don't even need to be an expert in the field to realise this person really cannot sing to save their life.

I must say I have never been able to watch an entire series or follow American Idol. I sort of watch when I can - especially in the beginning but I know my mom and siblings watch religiously and always at the end sit glued to the screen debating on who deserves to win and who probably will win. I always hear things like sometimes people don't only judge by what a good performer or your great voice but also your look plays a huge part - which I find is true. The person who deserves to win might not win because some people may have fallen inlove with someone else based on something other than their talent.
