I love this time of year when each morning seems less cold than the morning before, and we have already had our first double-digit low day, when the temperature has not dropped below 10º. The rain is still some way off, with the rainy season really being October through to March in Johannesburg. Typically speaking, there are only two days with rain in August and four days with rain in September, so one has to wait until October before it rains every third day or so and by December and January it is typically raining every second day. By then, there will be 2 hours extra daylight a day as well - but certainly we are past the worst of winter now.

This is my favorite time of the year.! I get very excited when summer approaches, because everything is new again. New flowers, new leaves on the trees, the rains, everything becomes brighter and of course.... Braai season!

Summer Please. Winter hasnt been that bad but I dont think winter is over just yet. Normally is cold in the first week of September as well.

Being on the beach for the first week of Spring is definitely how to step into the new season :) I love spring!!!! Not for the hay fever but because it means my birthday is coming up soon...

Great season in South Africa - Spring, the time to say buy to cold nights and freezing wind while the sun shines. Amazing how we all can not wait for the rain to come after winter! Never was worried in Ukraine about rain so much, but here completely different feeling! Just prays for rain!

The last few days have felt colder to me! I can't wait for it to get warmer. Early mornings in the cold are no fun! My favourite season is Summer and then Spring! I am so ready to say goodbye to cold's and flu, which I continously seem to get throughout the cold months such as winter no matter how many flu injections or vitamin C injections I take!

I love September, October, and especially November, December, January , February, March, April. The rest of the year is just too cold and this country is not equipped for it. I even love the above-mentioned months in the Northern Hemisphere because there is nothing better than having a white Christmas in countries who know how to accomodate and cater for you in the cold!!

We really have not had a cold winter. Everybody I speak to say we were lucky with the weather and I agree to a certain extent.
That being said, I cannot wait for summer when one layer of clothing will be enough (sometimes too much) and spending time outside will not mean loosing parts of your body to frostbite.
Get the suntan lotion ready people!
