Some good news on petrol

There is some good news ahead on the petrol price. The international price of petrol has gone down a little bit and if the Rand had stayed a little stronger wqe would have been looking at a 20 c drop in the petrol price.  Given its recent weakness we are looking at a petrol price decrease, at the beginning of September, of approximately 10c and diesel prices to stay pretty much the same. Obviously, this will change closer to the date but September is going to be the first month in some time where we will actually see a petrol price decrease and hopefully this trend can continue throughout the year.

I agree with a lot of comment. What is 20c decrease compare to all the increases so far? and for how long? In a few years, the way petrol increase lately went, we will probably pay R50 a litre. Wont surprise me at all.

This would be fantastic news, if it were to be so, but unfortunately, the next fuel change will be that of yet another increase where motorists will be paying almost R14 a liter. People are starting to panic, and its not only due to the fuel price increases, but the increase of food etc. that comes along with that. We are heading into serious trouble.

A decrease in the petrol price - fantastic news! I am however certain that the trouble and close to war in Syria will have an impact on the price decrease.

The Decrease in petrol is good ,but the bad thing is that if it decreased with 20 c by next year this time it will have increased with R 5 or more. I Personally thing its just a eye blind !But let us just hope for the best:-)

The currency became weaker and weaker everyday I can not believe that over R10.00 for the 1 Dollar already. Oil prices are increasing, maybe in September will be by 10 c decrease , but by the end of the year by 60c increase. I am trying to be positive lets hope I will be wrong!!!

The continuous petrol price increases are breaking the bank of many households. A decrease in prices is always welcome. Lets keep our fingers crossed

According to 702 this morning, with the oil price increase, we may be heading for a increase in September and no longer the hopeful decrease :-(
