Completely crazy November

I am very relieved that November is over.  It has to be the craziest month of the year.  Not only is it a particularly busy month for lawyers, in the last month of trials for the year, but it is a ridiculously busy month for companies and organisations.  It features the AGM of the Law Society, it has Council meetings for me and for anybody with children, there is also one function after another to attend – whether it be prize giving, carols by candlelight, talent show competitions and basically invariably an evening or an afternoon for every extra-mural activity your children have taken part in during the year.  It really would make a lot of sense if companies and organisations could actually move their annual general meetings a little bit earlier, to perhaps September or October, for example, because anybody with children has so many commitments in November that you often barely have a day without an activity to attend.

A month that everyone is looking forward to long holidays and spending quality time with they loved ones. It has been one hectic year indeed.

Everyone is short tempered during this time of the year and the street is so high

I will be happy when next week comes - this year has been insane let alone November - there is still so much to be done before we close

This year really has gone fast. I agree with Dune it seems like everyone gets agro easily and more sensitive. Your mind just want to switch into holiday mode. Like Yolandi P said " a well deserved holiday" is most definitively in order :)

The rush to get everything thing done before the year end is always the worst. I am so happy that there are only 10 working days remaining then it's off to a well deserved holiday

It has been a long year, and at the end of the year tempers rise, no one seem to get a long in the office, everyone is sensitive to anything that happens around them. I am glad this year is over and i am glad we can end it on a good note.

This year has flown by so quickly though. It's amazing... I'm so glad we're in December

I agree year end must be September then you don't feel so rushed to have all your things done before the holidays and to have a rest in December knowing all your things are done without any worries.

I am just glad its December! Bring on a much deserved break. But I agree, schools etc need to realise parents work and not everyone can just drop everything.

Anyone with children has so many commitments all year round and with the year end craziness it just makes keeping up with these commitments even more stressful..... Bye bye November, Hello December!!! Cant wait to fling off these heels and relax with my family.....

Remember, remember!
The fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!

(Seems like it is not only our November that is busy)

November is crunch time, getting everything finished for the current year so that in December you can start prepping for the new year and the work that comes with the new year - fun times!

I think there is a huge discrepancy between the thinking of people with full-time jobs and people who are stay-at-home moms and really working women and men are disadvantaged when it comes to partaking in the fun and celebrations with their kids because they have to work and school teachers and stay-at-home moms have no concept of the fact that you can't just attend a 3pm prize giving on a Wednesday. They should make these for weekends or 7pm at night so it is fair

I definitely agree with your. Why can they not move some of the activities to the middle of the year, I am sure that there are a lot of people that will also agree that there is too much to do with to little time.

Jessica  said:

I don't know why the end of the year becomes the busiest times of the year, when you have already worked so hard the whole year by the end of the year you have to work even harder because you just need to finish the year off.
