The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was a massive hit in 2013 and I was really looking forward to the final movie which I assume would be out late in 2014. They have obviously realised however, after the movie is heading close to R1000 million worldwide, that they have a massive hit on their hands after the first movie and have done a “Hobbit” in that just as the Hobbit book has been turned into three movies, the final Hunger Games book has been turned into two movies. That means that the final movie in the series will only be shown in 2015. I was particularly impressed by Jennifer Lawrence, who I thought was particularly good in the movie, but I did not realise that she has been in so many different movies previously such as acting as Mystique in “X-Men” when she was 20, and she is now only 23. She was the third youngest actress ever to be nominated for an Academy Award for best actress at 20 and at the age of 22 she won an Academy Award for best actress for her role in the movie “Silver Linings Playbook”, so she has got her career off to an incredibly successful start. She now stars in a major international blockbuster and it was perhaps no surprise that Rolling Stone magazine called her “the most talented young actress in America” and less importantly she ranks very highly in many desirable women lists!

I haven't watch the first one yet, after all the good reviews regarding these movies I think I'm gonna add it to my to watch list. It's sounds interesting.

I must say that I found the movie a bit disturbing. Kids dying for people's entertainment. I think I'll give the second one a miss

I watched The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and it was a good one, really would like to read the book. Jennifer Lawrence very natural actress, very impressed how young actress can bring to us so much reality and life of the story.

Hunger Games was amazing, cannot wait to see the next one. I have also watched the Hobbit and i am thinking of watching the 2nd one this weekend. Such good actors/actresses in both and will watch them over and over again and never get board. Just a bit sad that Harry Potter is over though.

I have to admit - the book were much better than the first movie. Hopefully the second and final movies will not be disappointing.

I loved The Hunger games movies, but a lot of people said that it wasn't that good however I'm not a fan of The Hobbit and a lot of people complained that the movie was super long...

I started to watch the first film when it came out but the beginning was very boring for me, so I never finished watching it. I do want to finish watching it and go see the second one because of all the excellent things I hear from it. I love Jennifer and the works she does, she is definitely one to keep an eye on. She will still do great things.

I really admire that the films are on point with the novels! At least to my imagination as it was. I am a super fan of the Hunger Games series, EXCELLENT books! SUPERB films!
I have a couple of theories however such as that The Hunger Games Saga, Twilight Saga and 50 Shades of Grey Saga share a few plot themes: 1 girl torn between 2 men (albeit wolf and vampire in Twilight lol) Who will she end up choosing? and so you keep reading, keep indulging and become swept up in novels that are difficult to put down . . The suspense, drama and secrecy element has made the novels compulsively readable for many, many people. Ultimately I believe that 50 Shades gained so much popularity so quickly because of the combination of elements and foundations it borrows from Twilight, well that and the forbidden sex element. This gave rise to people who never read, picking up a novel for the first time in years.
For those who aren't a fan of reading, they now have blockbusters to look forward to.

Having read The Hunger Games Trilogy I think they could have done far more with the first movie had they kept more to the book, especially with the wolves at the end, however they seem to have recovered exceptionally well with a brilliant movie based on the second book. Not looking forward to the final chapter in the trilogy as the book certainly didn't meet my expectations. Who knows maybe they can pull it off in a movie!

I absolutely love the Hunger Games!! Jennifer Lawrence is a remarkable actress and is extremely talented, she also appears to be very down to earth which is rarely a characteristic found in someone on the red carpet. Cannot wait to see the last 2 movies - but now, we wait again patiently.....

I thought the movie and Jennifer Lawrence's acting was brilliant but I think the actual them of the movie was a bit twisted - kids stuck in a forest all murdering each other while the nation applauds?? But Jennifer Lawrence is attractive and acts really well and has something different about her so she is awesome to watch

I just never had the time to go watch the second movie and I really wanted to. I am patiently awaiting it to come out on DVD. I enjoyed the first one. I haven't watched many of the movies she stars in but she is brilliant in Hunger Games!

I have to say catching fire was a highlight of my year last year, the books are brilliant and the movie even more brilliant! Silver Linings Playbook has to be one of my favorite movies at the moment, what an incredible movie. Bradley Cooper was also great in Silver Linings Playbook, a far more complex role than movies such as The Hangover and I think showed off his acting abilities. I have to say Jennifer Lawrence is an incredible actress, she also possess absolute natural beauty and isn't hollywood skinny but more muscular which I think is far more attractive.
