T20 World Championships

The latest sporting event, apart from all of the amazing ones ahead this year, like the World Cup, is the T20 Cricket World Championships.  Cricket is starting to have more and more championships, and that can only be good for our national team – who have never won anything yet.  I would imagine if we have three tournaments a year, that within a decade, we could finally win one of them!  One never knows that this particular game, which leaves so much to chance and pure violence in terms of smashing the ball, may not be the one that we finally win.

I have been particularly impressed with the striking ability of David Miller and of course Dale Steyn is an incredible bowler - so hopefully, having just been thumped by Australia in South Africa, we will go there with lowered expectations and possibly over-achieve.  This format of the game does however seem to suit the Indian side particularly, especially with their IPL Series which gets them a lot more experience in this form of the game and so, I would still expect that the most likely winners of the tournament are either India or Australia – but we can all pull together for South Africa this time – once again!

I enjoy live cricket games, and i think the atmosphere at a cricket game can be so cool, with it being such a chilled game, you can mingle and meet new people. But if I had a choice between a cricket game or a rugby match... i will most definitely be at a rugby game, way more excitement. But i really do hope that South Africa shows the world a thing or two this weekend.

Cricket is probably the most boring sport on planet earth. I'd rather watch rugby or tennis.
But Good luck to South-Africa anyways!

T20's are the only cricket that I can bare to watch. I am more of a rugby fanatic but enjoy seeing our boys doing a good job!

I have always enjoyed T20 and have seen some good scores coming from such games. The best ever was when the Golden Oldies (Brian Laura, Shane Warne, Sashin Tendulkar, and the likes) toured in about 2004 and played a T20 game at Centurion against the Titans. The atmosphere was electrifying.

Cricket is one sport i can watch the whole day. Yesterday's match between South Africa vs New Zealand was nail biting. South Africa just won it by 2 runs. Dale steyn was amazing.

I actually do enjoy T20's, they're exciting, not as lengthy, and fast pace.

I don't watch cricket that often, but I agree that going to the stadium to a live game is a lot more entertaining.

Surely no one has time to watch cricket anymore?? It is like a luxury to have time to watch it

T20 is the ADHD-child of cricket. I don't think there is anything wrong with it though. Just do not watch much of any of it.

Cricket is by far one of the most boring sports to watch for me personally, unless I'm maybe at the game. I say India will take it, when I think of cricket, I automatically think India. I will certainly not be taking an interest in it.
