I recently watched Tom Cruise’s blockbuster, Edge of Tomorrow. One of the reasons to go to movies is definitely not the stale popcorn, but watching something on a big screen in 3D can’t be replicated at home. Anybody who remembers the movie Groundhog Day will feel that this movie is quite familiar, but it really has got superb action and is wonderfully produced and put together. It currently has a 90% rating on RottenTomatoes and it is all about an alien race that attacks earth and Tom Cruise plays an officer who basically has to die, again and again, and relive the same day until he gets it right. The critics love it, the fans have given it great reviews saying it is one of those big budget movies that is still very entertaining and clever and the only disappointment is that it is not doing as well at the Box Office as one would have thought. With a production budget of $178 million, it has only grossed $60 million in America so far. Once you add in the foreign takings of $181 million it is already showing a profit at $241 million, but perhaps not doing as well as I would have thought, but profitable nevertheless.

I have heard about this movie, and I'm quiet a fan of Tom Cruise. Will definitely make time to watch it.

I love Tom Cruise he is a great actor but I'm not really mad about Sci-Fi movies. So don't think this one will really be on my list of movies.

I love Sci-fi movies, and after seeing an interview with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt and seeing the trailer numerous times, I am very excited about seeing this movie.

I saw the trailer an have been looking forward to watching this, every now and again a good action movie is a great way to break away from the normal movies I usually make time to watch.

Like Simone says, a lot of movies and series today either have aliens and zombies in it. I was never into those kind of movies but I am starting to get into the zombie type movies. I don't think I would go to the cinema to watch this but would hire the DVD if there was really nothing else in the store.

Although lots of action and aliens trying to take over the world is not my ideal movie, but I do like Tom Cruise and will have to see this movie!

Not really into alien attacks and that sort of thing when picking a movie.

Huh ... seems like instead of "fixing" things, he would pretty much just be creating alternative dimensions where things keep on going wrong and ending up the same ... until, I suppose, he gets it right just that once. Might be a good watch.

I feel like most movies that are coming out these days all have the same plot. Either aliens are attacking our planet or zombie viruses are taking over. Not really my thing to be honest.

Saw the preview last week at the movies, and the movie looks fantastic. I will definitely make a plan to go watch it this weekend!!!!

It is unbelievable how much money is spent on these huge productions and the producers are right in only risking such a huge financial investment in someone like Tom Cruise. I enjoy movies like this but they don't change my life or make me think differently about the world which are generally the types of movies I do like. Coincidentally Groundhogs Day was one of my favourite movies and I wish Bill Murray was in more movies!

It sounds interesting and Tom Cruise is a really good actor - must say that i won't specifically go to the movies to watch it but rather wait for it to come out on DVD

I have never been one for any movie which involves aliens at all. Tom Cruise also is not one of my favorites to watch on the big screen but I will have a look at the movie because sometimes the promo information can be deceiving.

I saw the trailer of this weekend and told my husband that we need to go and see this movie. I love Tom Cruise movies as they are always packed with action. I also think that the new Transformers movie is going to be very good as Mark Wahlberg is one of the lead actors. Cannot wait to see both.
