Long before E-files, there were X-files. The series ran from 1993 to 2002 with Fox Mulder and Dana Scully trying to prove that the truth is out there! It was quite a surprise to hear that Fox, a channel in America, is bringing back the paranormal show for what they call a “special six episode event”. Both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will return to play the title roles as FBI agents and the original creator, Chris Carter, will also oversee the new six episode series. They have not disclosed any date as to when it will be aired, but no doubt it is going to be all over the news when it is.

I have not seen this show as well. But I think it is good that even though after this long time they will still be using the old actors and not new once.

allot of the mysteries are based on real life ones. I read about a parasite that goes into the hosts brain like an ant, he will force the ant to go and sit on a leave the whole day waiting to be eaten by a sheep, if the sheep doesn't eat it the parasite makes the ant go back down and eat and drink water and come back the next day. they actually had an episode with something similar

I was too young for this show, however I remember my dad watching it and I didn't like the theme song. It was scary and to date I don't think I will ever watch this show. It gives me the heebie-jeebies!

I believe both actors David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are brilliant actors and I can not wait for those series to be on the screen. Will fun to watch those programs in our days.

I absolutely loved the ex files! Best show! I don't think there has been any show relating to paranormal activity that even compares! The creepy theme song sets the scene every time.
This show was part of my childhood and I remember many nightmares after an episode.
My concern is, since the show there has been huge changes in technology, graphics and effects. Will the show match up to our expectations because we are so spoilt with shows today!?

I laughed at the opening line of this blog ha ha good play on words! There has already been so much hype about it's return. It's a risk to bring back something which was so popular, a bit like going back to an ex, usually, the fond memories you have are erased by the reminders of why the relationship ended in the first place. It's a big risk to bring back something that was so popular, which is why they obviously are only releasing a 6 episode teaser, and I hope they stop there and don't then release more because the 6 episodes were so popular. Personally I have zero interest in any paranormal phenomenon sci-fi hocus pocus

I Loved x-files so much and so excited to hear its coming back I watched the repeats on SABC 2 when I was younger because when it came out for the first time I was not born yet lol

This is great news for my kids! They love Sci-Fi stuff. But only six episodes..... that's too little. They should have made more episodes, just as you are enjoying the series, then it's finished..... Can't wait until it starts!
