To do list

I have always designed pads for my staff over the years with reminders and to do lists, etc and I have just done a new one which I call “Today’s plan of attack”.  It is a pad for my staff to list the things that they need to do and priorities that they have to attend to.  I find these types of lists very useful, particularly when I am working on something and other ideas come up.  I don’t want to stop what I am doing, but I do need to make a note about the things that I need to do and to break them up in different lists – the things I need to do immediately as well as the things that would be nice to do that I don’t have to do now and I think that the pad as well as the index cards that I have recently created for my staff do a good job of that.   I find people that work on lists are more effective than those that don’t and those who believe that they are too bright and have too good a memory to need lists are invariably overrating their capabilities as well as their memory and in that regard I was inspired by a book called “Checklist Manifesto” by Dr Atul Gawande.

I have only been using to do lists for the past 2 years and they work! I love to see that I am actually getting things done. I use one for work every day and also one for my personal life - this is more like a weekly goal list.

My life is run by lists. I'm still very old fasioned in the sense that I love writing everything I need to remember on paper rather than reminders on my computer or phone. I love our new Plan of Attacks pads. I truly reminds us of all that needs to be done and it helps you to not let anything sliop through your fingers.

To do lists are a great way to keep track of what needs to be done, especially when getting side tracked by a query; phone call etc and the more tasks are ticked off for the day, the better.

I honestly love the To Do Lists. I do not know how I lived before them. It helps with your process when there are random interruptions. Brilliant.

To do lists really help get what you need done, done. It's a brilliant idea and I use mine everyday. It's a great way to check if you're doing what you've planned and when you tick it off it feels even better to know that it's done :)

I must say, I do enjoy using the To Do Lists and Today's Plan of Attack, they certainly help when I am busy with something and need to remind myself to pick up on it again. I also jot things down before I leave in the afternoon that I want to attend to first thing in the morning. I use my cell phone as well to send emails to the office if I think of something that needs to be done and I am at home. Thanks for the pads boss.

Making notes of what needs to be done not only helps to make sure nothing falls through the cracks it helps you to prioritize important issues. It's always a great idea to keep notes and lists. At the end of the day when you have crossed or ticked everything you actioned it gives you a sense of satisfaction as well, that you have accomplished something for the day

I alway like to be organized and to do list helps a person to stay on track. I just love it to take something of my to do list. I also work with my emails in a similar way. I always have flags going from today to next week depends on how important a email is and I always go through my flag-emails to see if I can tick of the flag as email attended to. I hate stuff being unresolved.

I think the To Do Lists are a good way of reminding you of attending to queries especially in cases when you take calls from clients and need to do something for the client and sometimes it might slip your mind because you have taken various calls straight after that phone call.

I cant work without my to do list and sticky notes. Not just at work but in my personal life as well. I always have a list on my phone with things I need to remember.

Whenever I get overwhelmed and are not sure where to begin, I make a list and realize it is actually not that bad and it is very satisfying to tick things off your list once they are done.

I do not think there is too bright or too good memory to not need the to do list especially when a person has multiple tasks to attend to. I find to do lists helpful and important to use.

I find the "Today's plan of attack" and "to do lists" extremely helpful. In this industry there are a lot of tasks that we are instructed to do and it can become quite impossible to remember everything on some days, but when you write each task down on the do lists, it will then become impossible to forget, and your work will be completed promptly and efficiently. I must say i really am impressed with the Plan of Attack sheets as it catagorises the critically important tasks from the everyday tasks. It is a must have.

I have always used to do lists and believe they give you guidance and keep you on track for what you need to do first. They are great and I use them daily even at home.

A to do list or plan of attack is very useful we are all human and we do forget. You can go back and see what you have done and what you still need to do as I work and I think of something I write it down on the to do list and at the end of the day I tick of what I have done and what I still need to do the next day.

I think the To Do Lists are very handy. Especially in a busy work environment because you get a lot of calls and could easily forget something that you were busy with or a query might slip your mind as you work on urgent matters.

Some of the most successful people I know continually make checklists - whether it be for each day or for their future goals. I always have checklists and lists- it's just how I have always been, and I think no one can be too proud to say "oh, I don't need to write anything down". These types only fool themselves. It's also very motivating to be able to tick off what you have achieved- big or small!

I think that these lists are a perfect way of noting what needs to be done for the day it is also the perfect size to have on your desk at all times! This allows one to constantly check what you need to get done for the day. I am all for planning and being organized so having a to do list is a must!

A check list is a useful tool, especially if you have a lot going on at one given time. I must admit, sometimes I rely on my memory, and the last few months have proven that I can't anymore. A check list is definitely the way to keep you in check with things.

I have always used a to do list and I just feel you actually get more work done using a to do list as to when you are not
And there is no person that can say they wont forget to do something, you get so busy with something else and at the end of the day you are sitting wondering what you forgot to do
I find a to do list also handy before going on vacation to make sure I did everything and bought everything I will need

I struggle to use a specific to do list as I operate a bit chaotically. I do however write stuff down and prioritize urgent work over less urgent work. I work well with a diary system which I guess in a way is a similar concept. I think the more left brain you are the more you would use these to do list concepts. I am quite right brain orientated and tend to be a bit more all over the place, I guess not everything works for everyone but I do like the concept.

A to do list is definitely a good way to keep track of everything. Especially if you do not want to forget something very important that has to be done that very specific day. I believe it is very important at home as well, not just at the office. The to do list also help me to do things I wont really attend to everyday. That way I'm better up to date with tasks.

The TODAY'S plan of Attack and To do list works very well it helps me a lot. in the beginning of every day I make a list of what I need to do and my To do list I take one per file and write down what I need to do on that file and as I do it I tick it off so I know what I still have to do and what I already done its definitely handy

I often rely on my memory and it hasnt been the safest bet! I had started making use of the 'plan of attack' and I have a generally better flow to my day - I am able to prioritise matters and spend the remainder of my day on the little niggly things!!

It is very easy to forget about something if you don't mark it or make a note of it. Sometimes we all get extremely busy and things just do tend to slip our minds. You also feel better once you have ticked everything off your to do list
