Later this year the iPhone 8 is going to be released. Some say that the iPhone 8 will in fact be called the iPhone X and there are some rumours that some of the new iPhone 8’s could cost more than $1,000 or about $200 more than what they currently cost. That means about a 25% rise in cost for the fancier ones with the most memory. Analysts are excited for Apple in any event, because they say when the iPhone 7 was released only 25% of iPhone owners had not upgraded for more than two years that by the time the iPhone 8 is released 31% of iPhone owners will not have upgraded for more than two years and they say that is going to spur record demand. It allegedly has an edge to edge screen and will have more screen space than the current iPhone 7 Plus does.
The other big money-spinner for Apple, and I don’t own Apple shares anymore, is that when the new iPhone is launched a lot of people sell their phone second hand and that brings more people into the iPhone universe – which pushes them towards iCloud as well as the App Store. Obviously, in selling service to those people, even if they have not bought a brand-new phone, Apple is going to make money in any event.

with the economy world wide slowing down, the monopoly of Apple of App store is going to cause them badly. as far as am concerned they will do better if they free it up. they will sell more gadgets than they will make in app stores and then grew bigger fast. who could forget how black berry messenger got them to sell very good until whats up and other things took over.

... and so the cult following continues. Meanwhile, Nokia is releasing a revamped version of the sturdy Nokia 3310.

One can never keep up with the latest technology, as soon as you buy the latest technology then 6 months later there is a newer version. I currently have the Samsung S7 edge, what a great phone, now they have released the Samsung S8. You ca never keep up with new technology.

Ya I still prefer my Samsung and I absolutely love my S7, the virtual headset however costs a lot for data. But the features are amazing and I love it and love Samsung in general.

IPhone is my next phone, I think every year bringing new phone out IPhone makes everyone wanting to get one. I was before always worried, thought that this phone is more expensive then others but as always you will pay for quality and stronger battery.

I am considering getting myself an iPhone with my next upgrade. Although i wish i could upgrade to the latest and greatest one, i will not fall in the bracket of affordability. I think i will be able to the iPhone 6 now only :)

I really don't know much about the iPhone but I like my A3 Samsung I think this in the longest phone I have had because I can chuck my phone around. But I like the look of this Phone.

There are a lot of iPhone "die hards" out there. Some people swear by them and will never consider anything else. I have the Samsung S7 Edge and I am very happy with it.

I was considering to change to iPhone, but now with the new Huawei phones coming out, I might rather consider Huawei. My friend was a firm believer in iPhone, no phone was better and she now switched to Huawei. Apple makes a lot of money either way, I think. It will always be the top of the range for everything.

Iphone is not userfriendly at all. I'll stick to my samsung. Very happy with it and it doesn't cost a fortune.

It is impossible to keep up nowadays as every time you think you have the latest technology something new enters the market. I have been disappointed with Samsung lately and think I will make the switch to Apple when my upgrade is due.

one simply cannot keep up with new phones, seems phone companies are in such a race to compete with each other you barely have a phone for 5 months then the newer model comes out. yes we as humans are evolving daily but hell. how about then bringing other costs down for consumers

I like a cellphone that can take and make calls and it doesn't need to be the most fanciest phone as I wont probably use half the applications that its willing to offer.

I am still on Iphone 5s... LOL. I can't believe they are releasing the 8 already. I just replaced my screen last week so I won't be upgrading any time soon. Although the thought crossed my mind - a few good times. I am the kind that will use a phone until I can't use it anymore before buying a new one. In fact I am like that with most gadgets/items I own. I have become a bit of a jew of late #SavingMoneyProblems.

It sounds like iPhone 8 will do well even its cost will be more high. And it sounds like the majority of iPhone owners become more excited when a new iPhone is released

I am not entirely familiar with Apple as I have been loyal to Samsung since Blackberry became redundant. Although iPhone users always rant and rave about Apple's superiority I think I will stick with the Samsung's for as long as is possible. I am too lazy to learn how to use a new OS regardless of how awesome the new iPhone is.

Wow wee, well I was planning on looking at the iPhone 8 but may need to reconsider at that steep incline in price. I certainly hope that their standard size will not be as big as the iPhone 7 Plus because it is slightly enormous and a bit impractical in terms of storing same in your pocket or small bag. I am however still super excited to catch a glimpse of it as always with every iPhone release.

I cant keep up with Iphone anymore there is always a new one. I also read somewhere that whenever a new Iphone is released that they slow down the previous Iphone by putting it in your software updates, so that you are forced to upgrade.

I am still a Samsung fan but It is a clever strategy to release the latest phone when upgrades are due. Apple will make money as people always want the latest and newest products on the market.

It is always so exciting when Apple releases something new! I would like to see how the new iPhone works and what new features it has. I really do hope it is worth all the hype and also the expensive price tag…

I think it is clever to bring out the new phone when more percentage of people will upgrade. It makes more sense as well. I personally am not a fan of the IPhone and will stick with Samsung. The technology of today is growing so fast that it's sometimes hard to keep by.

I have to say I am happy with my iPhone, and its actually working perfectly without any problems, I will also not be upgrading it until I really need to get a new phone. My iPhone is still new and if you look after it, it last that much longer. More and more people are using iPhone's these days and I am sure they will still sell millions of iPhone's without a problem.

The new IPhone will definitely sell in big amounts regardless of the high price. I think the demand will be very high because of all the people that will upgrade when the phone comes out. I will like to have the new IPhone 8. It's always nice to get a new phone.

The IPhone is way to complicated for me and I think I will never use all the smart stuff the phone comes with.My phone has all the basics and that's all I need. So I will just stick to my simple Huawei for now.

A very interesting perspective, although I am not an Iphone user, I can certainly see how it will bolster the number of Apple users - even if as you say they may not have purchased a new phone. I am reluctant to enter the icloud but perhaps it is ignorance, I am not very technically inclined. Information sharing has become revolutionised and I should probably become more educated on this topic.
