The final season of Game of Thrones which fans have been waiting 1 ½ years for is about to begin. It is amazing how long it takes, and how much hard work it requires to put together 6 or 7 episodes, and I reminded myself of that the other evening, by watching the very first episode of Game of Thrones. It was filled with characters that have long since been killed, and those that remain in the cast are visibly older in the most recent season, let alone how they will look when we see them now! Some things remain the same – from the very first episode Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys, had to take her clothes off, and she seems to have had to do that in every season. In between riding dragons and being naked, she certainly has had a tough time. I will say this, I think that the show has the best theme tune that I have ever heard in my life and I am sure with hindsight, the composer Ramin Djawadi, probably feels whatever he was paid for it was not enough compared to what the show has become. It is undoubtedly the biggest television programme in the world and it is certainly the big selling point for the television company that bought it, namely HBO. In any event, from the first episode we have heard that winter is coming, and it certainly has to arrive now, along with Whitewalkers, etc.

This is the best show ever especially this last season the episodes are so intense and there have been some great characters that have died and alot of characters have stepped up .

I am normally one to follow the latest series especially when it gains as much attention as Game of Thrones has! Unfortunately I never really took to the series and with the final season here and the world taking about it, I really do feel left out!

This is definitely the most watch most talked about series ever. I must admit that the GOT "gogga" has not bitten me yet. I have tried to watch it but just did not get into it and haven't tried again. But I don't know one person around me that has not watch it and not loved it.

I have to say, I have not watched one episode of the final season as yet. The reason being I missed season 7 and even though I absolutely enjoyed seasons 1 - 6, I did not stress not watching 7 nor this last season. I will, in time, have a GOT marathon again and catch up on the remainder seasons but for now, GOT is not my priority of viewing.

I enjoy Game of Thrones but I am sooooo far behind and at this point with each episode being an hour long -it will be a while until I am all caught up.

I have watched every episode and read the first book. It is a really fantastic series and it's nice to see the lose ends and theories tying up. The progression of characters is also really great, Daenerys beginning as basically a sex slave given away by her brother to becoming an extremely empowered leader. To see Arya go from a child to probably the best fighter on the show. It's an exceptionally exciting show and it will be very cool to see how it ends.

I absolutely love GOT. It is filled with fantasy, drama, etc. Nothing has made me more happier than to have the last season come out. Although I have not watched the 2nd episode last night, I definitely plan to watch it before Friday still, depending on schedule(s). Winter is finally here and it is thrilling.

Waiting 500+ days for the last season to come out was such a tough emotional battle. It was such a long wait that I re watched all the seasons just to hype myself up for the last season. I cannot imagine a better series than G.O.T. certainly a top 3

I was kind of forced to watch the first episode about a year ago but it didn't work. I was trying to distract myself from watching it, even falling asleep through the episode.
I will try and make more of an effort this year, but then that means 8 seasons to catch up on. Seems very daunting to me... But I guess "Winter is Coming"

I heard that during the production Emilia Clarke had 2 life threatening brain aneurysms, the fact that she was still able to go through production of the final season is amazing! I'm that person who likes to have all the episodes at one time, I hate having to wait for weekly episodes.

I was such a fan of Games of Thrones but then I lost the mojo waiting for the next seasons and I haven't watched it for so long that I feel I would need to restart the whole series just to refresh what is going on. But restarting is the problem too because it did have a slow start to things.

I honestly want at least 3 of the episodes to watch at a time. I love this series too much. I hope that it doesn't have a disappointing ending like Sansa becoming the damn queen lol. Or the queen of the Iron thrones keeping the damn seat. I am excited, nervous and worried about this final season.

It always amazes me how much effort and time goes into making a great movie or series. All the finer details- from the costumes, movie sets and actors spending hours in make up. All leads to great entertainment.

I am the biggest fan of Emilia Clarke! #TeamDaenerysTargaryen I also started watching a few episodes the other day and she definitely had a tough time. From being sold by her brother to the Drogo in exchange for an army to being betrayed and giving birth to a stillborn.If she dies I will be devastated! I am so excited to watch the final season and I am so torn between waiting for all episodes or watching it weekly. What a successful show. I always tell people just try and get through the first few episodes that are kind of boring but then trust you will be hooked!
