It is very interesting to follow the developments in America with regard to booster shots and the vaccines. It seems clear that what happens there will probably ultimately be adopted here as well and it gives us an idea of what we can expect in the future.
That future appears to involve booster shots and particularly for those who had the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, like I did, it seems that what they are recommending is instead of having another shot of the same vaccine, you should have a different one. They call this mix and match. In that regard, the people who had the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and had a booster shot with Johnson & Johnson found that their immunity was boosted 4 times, but if, instead of having the Johnson & Johnson shot, they had a booster shot from Moderna, their immunity was boosted 76 times instead.
From all of my reading, and it is very close between Moderna and Pfizer, it appears that Moderna’s vaccine is slightly more effective than that of Pfizer and they in turn are both quite a bit more effective than Johnson & Johnson. I am going to try and have the booster shot with the Moderna vaccine as soon as that is allowed.

I will most definitely take the booster shot if it means more protection against Covid.

My first and second vaccine jabs were Pfizer. I did not think that mixing and matching vaccines would be a good idea but reading this it seems safe to do so.

I really don't know how I feel about mixing and matching the vaccines I'm all good with needing to get a booster Jab but I would want to stick to Pfizer

I think that we will be getting jabs every year and if it is going to help me keep my family safe I will take it

When is this nonsense going to stop, I mean what is next? How many boosters do we still have to get? I will get this booster but that is that...no more

If this means my chances of getting covid again would be slim I will take the booster anytime.

How many boosters will we have to take in a year? This virus is always mutating... So with every strain, I assume a new booster needs to be taken?
I would never have thought that mixing will be good but if the experts say it's alright, then let's just believe them =/

To keep my family and other people safe I don't mind taking the booster shot. I will rather try and prevent then being sorry in the end.

Prevention is better than getting covid. I took Pfizer specifically because i saw that its benefits far outweigh J&J. I support booster shorts.

Pharmaceutical companies must be enjoying the billions they are bringing in, and I get Clare's point as well. I rarely get sick, and if I do, I get over it. Besides for the chronic illness that hampers me, my immune system seems good enough. And if one day it is not and if it is my time, then so be it.

I have already taken the Pfizer vaccine only my first shot, I don't mind taking the booster shots as long as it protects me and my family and the people around me

Very interesting read and research, but from my understanding for now, boosters are mostly given to specific groups of people. Extra shots are especially important for people who have weakened immune systems, such as those who have undergone a bone marrow transplant or who are older than 60. And only countries like the United States and Israel have decided to give an extra shot to some of those who are already fully vaccinated.

I Do agree with Bianca, they can bring it on, I will take it once a week and to stay safe and I will do anything to protect my family

With the different COVID variants it is really not surprising that there will be more research for this. I just hope our bodies can handle whatever boosters they throw our way. Question is does the flu shot fall away now?
I also agree with David's opinion.

I have already taken the Pfizer vaccine so I will stick to it as the symptoms were not bad. I don't mind taking the booster shots as long as it protects me and my family from the virus.

Why are the booster shots not just incorporated with the flu vaccine shot, now we have to get two shots a year?

Oh wow, so this must mean we are going to have many many more injections so in other words our bodies will soon not be able to fight off any illness on its own, we will then become entirely dependent on more vaccinations. Now that I am done with my Pfizer shoots, I am not feeling great towards the others. Hope that if they come with more injections we will have more of a choice an not be forced.

it is an idea to mix and match vaccines so that they are more effective to get rid of this virus

The idea of getting my immunity boosted 76 times seems a lot a lot more promising than only 4 times.
I wouldn't mind giving this a shot at all.
