I collected the tickets that I wrote about quite extensively on www.lawblog.co.za, when I went through the trouble of booking them on the Internet, some 18 months ago. Collecting tickets is a painless process, apart from finding parking, and simply involves swiping your credit card through a machine whereafter it prints all of the tickets.
There were fairly lengthy queues, and a noticeable excitement in the air, not only at the ticketing centre but at Nelson Mandela Square where there must have been at least three TV camera crews wandering around filming people on Tuesday and another two or three at the ticket lines. I noticed a considerably higher level of excitement in and around Sandton, as opposed to any other areas, but there is no doubt that this is going to bring the country to a standstill!

I drive past the Sandton ticketing centre every morning and evening and there is always a queue there! I think it's funny because every day they say OK TODAY THERE ARE 10 000 more tickets!! And everyone rushes there and then at 17h00 on the radio you here TECHNICAL GLITCHES led to no sales etc.. ba ha ha! You were clever just booking them ages ago!

I am soooo excited about the world cup and in particular about this Friday when Bafana Bafana take on Mexico in the opening game.
I bought a vuvuzela, bought a Bafana Bafana shirt, got flags on the car.. It's amazing and everyone is joining in. This gives me hope that South Africa can unite and be one nation in all it's differences. And not only for the World Cup but forever.

That's my exact dilema to buy online or take leave to stand in a que? both options not appealing. Perhaps going to a popular pub and watch it with a bunch of strangers, not as good as the real thing though. Hope I have not left it too late.
