Dummying down

It is somewhat surprising to discover that the number one Google searches in South Africa are still Facebook and Facebook login. What that says for us as a nation I am not quite sure, but Jobs was down at position number 8, way below references to Gumtree, Gmail and of course Facebook, which dominates the top two search terms. Interestingly enough, Twitter, which is somewhat described as a Facebook for adults, although I am not sure that I would agree with that, does not feature in the top 10 at all.

Facebook being number 1 I can believe. I dont think theres anyone in this universe who doesn't know what it is. Its really addictive. As for twitter being an adult facebook- I think its more for the 'celebs' of the world to tweet what they are doing etc!

I still can't believe how young this guy was when he created facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, If you think about it he has made it possible for us all to re unite with people we thought were dead and burried long ago, people I knew in primary school. What he has done is definitely a huge step in the technology book. Now that I have tuned into what is happening in old friend's lives Im quite over the exitement and just log in now and then.
