Smart phones, with their capabilities these days, are eliminating and endangering a vast array of different products. We have recently read of the closure of Flip video cameras, partly inspired by the fact that almost every second phone these days has a video camera feature, but Smart phones are also eliminating watches, because nobody really needs a watch for the time anymore, portable GPS tracking devices, cameras as well as calculators.

blackberry, iPhone, all great until the next person develops a new gadget that is 3d, flies, talks and is robotic, then we will think wow that's great, only 15 years ago, talking on a cell was like Wow, now even the petrol attended has one.

Blackberry phones are taking over and to add on Jessica's comment, if something is wrong with your blackberry, blackberry automaticly gives you a new phone, they do not repair any blackberries.

add to that: an alarm clock, diary/PDA, music player and radio, etc etc. These days a watch is purely a fashion accessory.

Fact! Last time I wore a watch was in Grade 8, because I got my first cellphone. I've been watchless ever since.

I think that blackberry phones are taking over more because it doesn't cost an arm or a leg to get one and the amount of things you can do on it is amazing. You get to sms family and friends from all over the world without spending a cent. It's def not a phone I would ever change from.
