Idols South Africa is beginning to draw to a close, although there is some way to go, and I see that this year certainly on the betting sites, it appears to be a closer run event than in previous years. Bookmakers seldom make a mistake when they price somebody up as the favourite when it comes to these types of competitions and this year the two favourites are very close in the betting with Dave at 2/1 and Mark at 22/10, a very close second favourite. Freddie, who was popular, has drifted in the betting now to 4/1, so it looks like they are really saying that this is a two horse race between Dave and Mark!

My money is on Dave!
He is the best thing that idols anywhere has had.
South African talent is just as good as anywhere else.

I must admit that i have not been religously watching Idols this season. I do however do not like Freddy at all, there is just something about that guy that gets under my skin. I do believe that Mark and Dave will be the top two this season. They aren't brilliant, but they are the better of the remaining four.

I have a keen liking to Freddie. Also I believe the judges wasted their only save of the season on an idol who was voted out just 2 weeks after her save. It was too far from the finals to use the save. I believe they could have saved Lefa, he has real talent and deserved to stay. However I do believe that Freddie has the best chance of winning purely because he is different and has his own style which is unique and cool. Holding thumbs for him :)

For me the Idols craze has faded. I was hooked when it started, but now it is getting over rated. You hear of the winner all over for a few months, and then they fade. It has been this way with every season. All the popular artists, didn't win some competition, but worked hard for it. They didn't have people vote for them. Anyway, good luck to the finalists...

I think that Idols this year suck!! It is real bad I don't even know how the people were chosen. I should of entered I would of even made it to the top 10. Most of my friends have even banned their house from watching Idols this year. It's such a pity as we actually do have a lot of real good talent in this country!
