Nic Rabinowitz has to be my favourite comedian in South Africa, and a man of great talent. I particularly enjoy his appearances on the Redi Direko Show, when he presents “The week that wasn’t”. It takes a lot of intelligence to be able to turn so many events into comedy, and I am really looking forward to seeing him live, sooner rather than later. He makes me think of my all-time favourite, and a truly talented genius, Zapiro, but I think he would accept that he is not yet in the class of Jonathan Shapiro aka Zapiro.

.....sounds similar to my taste, Michael - if you love Zapiro, then you would like Mr. Noah too, his new dvd is entitled Crazy Normal.... I guess there is a bit of generalisation there, however these myths do exist. Some truths also come out better in jest, I would say... Love your blog!

i would defianetly agree with Ting my all time favourite comedian would have to be Trevor Noah..he is absolutelly hialarous.
i personel enjoy when he relates most of his jokes to our politicians or to current affairs that are happeninig in our country. he is also very good looking and dresses so smart for his show. which i love- he takes absolute pride in everything he does.
he is truelly one of our very best SA has. I do feel i need to see more comedians SA has to offer as i believe and have heard there are many talented ones out there.

Well then "Bafunny Bafunny - the odd shaped ball" is a must at Carnival City this weekend (13 - 15 Oct) as it features these names and many more... One of which, a fellow Port Elizabethan, Barry Hilton.
Excitement is!

Yup Friday's "The week that wasn't" is a show i have really come to miss. Dont have 702 in office. Maybe i need to bring my old cell phone out of retirement, it picked up 702 clearly whereas my Blackberry does not. Makes on wonder, "older is not always bad".

My favourite South African comedian is definitely Trevor Noah. This guy is so talented, clever and flippin hilarious. I would love to see him live and would love to get into more comedic shows with different comedians.
