How am I driving?

I see quite a few cars have information as to a number to call if the driver is driving badly, and I came across somebody driving terribly aggressively the other day and called the number once I got home. I think it is very important to avail oneself of those opportunities, to take the time and spend the money to let somebody know that one of their drivers is driving very aggressively, because with our death toll every lecture that somebody gets at their company, about driving properly in future, can only help.

My company cars have our phone number on them and we’ve had calls like that over the years, which as an attorney specialising in motor accidents and personal injuries, I have always found terribly embarrassing, but I have always acted on the information supplied and at the very least given the driver a warning letter at such time. Road safety lies with all of us, and rather than read what awards you will get for injuries on my website www.accidentclaim.co.za, avoid an accident altogether! I wish more ladies, in particular, would tell their boyfriends, especially when it is younger guys, that there is nothing manly about driving around like a complete lunatic and endangering the lives of all the occupants in the car, not to mention other road users.

I was also raised that way. I have reported a couple of bad driver's before and will keep on doing it. Especially trucks when they speed, there is no way a truck can just suddenly stop like a car and when they cause an accident it is always because of the brakes failing.

i dont know why people, goverment etc always make an excuse that it's drinking and driving it is not! people in this country just drive like.. they have an aggressive attitude they dont give people the right off way and you will very seldom see some one give some one else a chance to even change lanes. i dont drive because i have had to many accidents because of other peoples stupidity and attitude!

I also agree with this. I was raised that way, to rather call the parent than get into a car with a drunk driver. The great thing about that is that my dad never got cross, no matter how intoxicated my friends and i were. The next day he would actually thank me for being responsible and that made me phone him all the more. If you want your kids to phone you to pick them up, don't get mad at them for looking the way they look or being at whichever party that they lied to you about. They're alive and they need to know that that's the way to do it. The lie can be fixed, their life cannot.

I am in agreement with this. If only our children will realise when they go out there is nothing "sissy" about calling a parent to fetch them if their lift is not in the right frame of mind to drive. I have seen far to many crosses popping up on the roadsides with dates that indicate they are youngsters in the "partying" age group.

I think it doesnt only lie on the girlfriends to tell their boyfriends but also the parents and friends. Guys should stop trying to show off thinking they invinsible because they are not. They will make an accident and more than likely will kill others and be the survivor. I dont know when people will learn its just not worth driving aggressively!
