US Safety Board urges ban even on hands-free devices
The National Transportation Safety Board in America has recently voted to ban the use of all mobile devices by drivers. That would include stopping people from using cell phones for talking, sending SMS’s and even from using hands-free kits. They said the decision was a hard one, because it is going to be unpopular for many people and that each State in America will have the option to decide whether or not they want to accept that recommendation. The bottom line is, even with a hands-free kit, a call is a distraction in what is a powerful machine moving at a fast pace and we all know that, however much we choose to ignore it.

Its a good idea but what happens if there is an emergency and someone is trying to get hold of you. Besides that I think this should be implemented as safety should be our number one concern.

Guilty. There will always be people that continue to make use of cellphones while driving. As it is we are not allowed to use them, but we continue to do so. Unless you have a cop in the car with you of course.
It is a great idea but I do not think it will eliminate all use of cellphones, reduce possibly, but not eliminate.

I also agree that this is a good idea. It will be highly unpopular but if you have to make a phone call, pull of next to the road and make your phone call or send your sms. That will be allot saver although it will take a bit of your time, rather be safe than sorry.

It is a very good idea and will reduce the risk of accidents however it will be highly unpopular!

I think that is actually very good, as much as we all love to keep in contact 24/7 now with all the new technology alot of lives have been taken and heart's been broken due to the use of technology while driving.
