It is hard to believe that robots can be so consistently out of order, at the same time of the year, every year. One would really think by now that the Johannesburg Municipality had some sort of system in place whereby they urgently send out teams to go and repair out of order robots. Sadly, at this time of the year, certain robots such as the intersection of William Nicol and Leslie Road have already been out of order for probably 20% of the month and that surely is unacceptable in a big city. Outsurance, who I understand is back on the job, have not been sighted that often recently either, so am not sure if they are reducing staff or that there are so many problems all over the place, that they are not getting to the routes I typically drive.

I am so fedup with the robot at Klipriver and Swartkoppies that is continuously out of order. It is such a busy and very dangerous intersection. Can someone please do something about this. It is really unacceptable. PLEASE HELP.

I have to admit that lately the traffic has been so bad getting to work, I obviously know that this is because the schools are back.
It is just so much worse- than what it was last year, even more so when a robot is out. I really wish the Johannesburg Municipality would come up with some sort of system, because when robots are out it becomes an absolute nightmare.

I am also tired of robots that do not work and i stay in the west rand. It looks like this problem is everywhere. It takes you forever to get to work and back home and nothing is being done. More accidents occur due to robots not working and some people either do not know how a 4-way stop works or just don't care. This is an unnecessary problem to have and they seriously need to do something about it.

Robots at Bruma are continuously out as well especially in the afternoons. Luckily I leave work at 16h00 so it's not that bad but I can only imagine the traffic for people who leave work at 17h00!
And it also doesn't help lodging a complaint because you just put on hold for the whole day and then you have to sit at the broken robot anyway.. I haven't seen the Outsurance people around at all in the new year. I think there might just be too many problems everywhere for them to get to it all. It really is pathetic that they cannot organise some or other system to have all the robots repaired and then to follow up and check on them to see if they KEEP working.

i agree it's pathetic! it's every day almost that either the one or the other set of robots is out of order on one! short stretch of road coming or going out of alberton, its amazing not working in the morning but working in the afternoon?

I am so tired of robots that do not work. Why in G-d's name did our government not use the billions spent on the gantrys to put in new robots that ACTUALLY work. We have been back at work all of 15 days and since coming back to work, i have had 2 days ONLY where all the robots have worked both coming to work and going home.
This causes one to race, particulary on your way to work, because you try and make up for the lost time spent in treating a robot that is down as a 4-way stop. And, as we all know, speed is also something that they are trying to weed out.
Now i have to ask, how do they, the government, expect us to live up to our side of the bargain (sticking to speed limit) if they cannot live up to theirs (providing us with working robots).
