Any parent will be familiar with the Madelein McCann case, a three year old toddler who vanished while on holiday with her parents in Portugal. It makes one realise how quickly time passes and how we all get older, to be told that that is now six years ago.
The parents still have not given up hope, even after being accused of being murderers by some of the media, who they subsequently sued successfully, and are still hoping their missing daughter will be found. The metropolitan police in England, who the rest of the world typically refer to as Scotland Yard, have announced that they are reopening the investigation and one can only hope that they are finally going to be closer to solving this mystery. Special task forces spent the last year investigating evidence, making repeated visits to Spain and Portugal, and one only hopes for the parents that they do get lucky and she is found alive. Tomorrow is her 9th birthday.

As a parent the worst fear that you have is not knowing whether your child is dead or alive.
I hope that the MaCann family will find closure on what happened to they beloved child.

This is scary and extremely sad. Someone in the world has to know something. I hope the family can get some sort of closure. This is truly terrible.

I can only imagine how damaging it must be as a parent not knowing where you child is, and even worse not knowing if he/she is alive. I have seen on Crime and Investigation channel that some Police stations makes use of psychics who actually lead them to solving the crime. Why do they not try it, and maybe it could lead to finding her or getting some clues as to what might have happened. I am not a parent myself, but I know how protective I am of my sister's children because losing them can happen so fast. Good luck to the McCann family and prayers go out to them.

I really hope that they do find her. As a parent it one of my biggest fears that one day I turn around and my child is missing. The McCann family is very strong for not giving up.

As a parent im sure the worst feeling of having your child missing is definitely the unknown of wether your child could be alive or not.
I hope for their sake , their daughter may have a chance of being alive because they have never given up after all these years and if not they find out because it most be horrible living on hope your child is found one day.
